Why are ESTPs so talkative?

They are always ready to engage in a conversation.
Are all ESTPs like this or just those that I know?

Shereefah

How many ESTPs do you know? Let's start from there.
I know one, a female that we used to see almost everyday for a year or thereabout, truly she talks and she likes talking, she can hardly stay quiet.

I know another one, a male friend, he talks too but not that much. Sometimes he would suddenly turn to his phone instead of talking or trying to engage you, something the female finds difficult to do when she's around people.

Those two were very close to me, I know others too, some of them talk very well and they enjoy talking while some may not talk too much, although, also not quiet as introverts.

Extroverts generally talk, one of the ways they gain energy not only ESTPs.

I know an ESFJ that talks more than all the ESTPs I know combined. Extroverts like talking and being around people, they are wired that way.

ESFJ talks but they're comfortable remaining quiet when a situation demands or when they are around those that do not like talking, whereas ESTPs do not recognize limits, we all need to train our children to know there's a limit to talking. I'm an ESTJ, I talk too but not like an ESTP friend, I guess training and growing up among introverts helped me.

The guy might be a bit older and matured than the girl, they tend to listen more than they talk as they age from personal observation.

Not like that, some of us like listening more, especially when we are with certain people, not that we don't talk but we like to listen to these type of people more than we talk to them, for one reason or the other e.g I have a sensitive friend that had felt hurt with my words on different occasions, if we are talking now, I prefer she does more of the talk, because I will like to be very careful about everything I say.
Also, if I'm around intelligent or older people, I want to learn so I listen more to them.

Lol, I know many ESTJs that talk more than I do.

I talk, but when someone has a problem with me talking to them just like Op, I know and I keep quiet. Also if someone isn't in a good mood to talk, I know and I remain silent.
I like making friends and starting a conversation, it comes from nowhere, but when you don't want me, I know and I withdraw.

🤣@Bolded got me laughing, it's not as if I have a problem with you guys talking, I just think there should be some form of break or full stop when you talk.

They vary, from personal observation.
Those that talk more seem to be more connected to their first function, extraverted sensing (Si), making them have more energy for more activities including talking.

Those that talk less seem to be more connected to their second cognitive function, introverted thinking (Ti), making them quite observant, cautious and a bit disciplined.
It most likely comes with age as @Congra said
Because at the first phase, anything they derive joy in doing with their excess energy, they do it to the core, including talking, reason they're adrenaline junkies.
At the second phase, they're somewhat calm as a result of past experiences, not totally calm but somewhat, so they observe more than they talk or more than they do some things.

@Op, this simply means engage with the older ones only and they won't bore you with talk.

We don't bore people with talk, we make them feel lively. Perhaps Op is boring.....

ROTFL

Quinmirah

I've got two as friends, a little close, just little. When they're chatting and I get drained I somehow let them know by showing signs I'm tired. The disgusting part is when they say "You don't talk, you're too quiet, try and be talking." This is common to the two of them and I hope they do not know how absurd that is.
Even though they're not sensitive, I know the little sensitivity in them will pop out if I say the same

"Must you talk? You talk too much, you are so talkative, try to shut your mouth."
How would that make you feel @Isagurl?

LMAO😂 like I said, I do not stress people because I easily read feelings, I don't think you'll have a reason to say that to me, but if you do, I'd rather laugh it off and let you know being chatty is fun, at least to me.
