My sister's baby won't eat. Anyone here with similar experience?
The baby is just 4 months and we are so concerned.
What can we do to make the baby eat?

Is it that the baby isn't eating at all or his or her food consumption is reduced?

If it's reduction in the amount of food taken, it is normal for babies at the stated stage.
In the initial two to three months of life, most children are developing quick and eat more. At the point when the growth spurt ends, how much nutrients your child needs decreases, so his appetite might reduce in like manner. This is a usual process.

Whatever you do, do not force the baby to eat. It is the end of growth spurt and reduced appetite is normal. Please answer Rayma's question, is the baby not eating at all? If that's the case you need to consult a doctor ASAP.

Thanks. It's greatly reduced compared to what he eats before not that he isn't eating at all.

Then no need to worry, God gives babies the ability to adjust accordingly to the amount of food needed for their body at this stage, your sister should just feed him as requested by his appetite level and till he feels full at his comfort.

Thank you, she's telling me now that the major reason she's bothered is because her friend's baby of the same age still eats well.

Milk needed is different for each babies depending on their activity and metabolism rate. I'm a mother of two now and I've been in your sister's shoes well before now. The difference varies greatly and it's not something to be compared. If a baby also experience much hunger for a particular meal and eats well at that period, he may wants little for the next meal, what matters is he should look healthy and satisfied not looking sick.

The substance of the mother's breast milk has additionally transformed at this level, with more fat and minerals to fit the baby's nutritional requirements.
Fat is known to have a positive effect on satiety and have the ability to balance appetite the more. No need to panic, he will get exactly the nutrients his body needs, and remember not to force-feed him.

😂 Not married, not a doctor or a nurse. I have a nutrition degree, I'm a nutritionist.
However I'm taken, don't bother shooting any shot😜

Taken means nothing, once you aren't married, that's a sigh of relief.
