A friend was telling me he would like to take this move, i.e talk to his former boss that he is willing to come back because he is yet to get a better offer months after leaving, and I opposed it telling him to squarely face the future.
What do you guys think?

Beanbeen

Why not? If he left on good notes and if his relationship with the company before and after his resignation has always been cool, he should try his luck if there's space.

Anitacurls

HE SHOULD NOT. I know two people like that in my present place of work who did this and are regretting bitterly, the management will show you hell, claiming if you have their love at heart you wouldn't leave in the first place, they wouldn't say it out but all their actions will keep singing it.
No matter how hard things could be, he should focus on the future.

Marthari

It's like going back to your ex. There's a reason you left, hold on to that and don't go back. I wouldn't go back for any reason.

Gomantics

Why would anybody go back?
What it shows is indecisiveness.
Besides, if it's a good place to work he wouldn't have left. He only needs to chill, he would get something better.

Mafy

The truth is, the company will most likely deal with him in some ways and he should be ready for that. Once he's prepared for that, no issues

Winigal

He can go back, if he had a good relationship with the company when he was there. I know some people who did this, however, all of them end up regretting in one way or the other. You should only wave farewell when you actually know it's a farewell.
From the experience of those I know, if you ask me, I'll tell you it's something I will never do.
