Quote from: Ashaolu on Dec 04, 2024, 02:52 AM😂I know a woman that says if she knew her husband hardly changes or washes boxers/underwear, she wouldn't have gotten married to him. It disguts her and no matter how she tries the husband is yet to change. They have been married for some years and it's love marriage

Quote from: Afrowin on Dec 04, 2024, 02:48 AMWe have seen people complaining about things like this even in love marriages. Your partner will only allow you know what he or she wants you to know during dating, no matter how long you date.

If the matchmaking skill is great, arranged marriage could be the best. Love grows in arranged marriages too

Quote from: Permitedangel on Dec 04, 2024, 02:27 AMI would go for love marriage, if you meet someone that really loves you, you'll understand nothing is like love marriage
And you can always face the consequences without blaming anyone

There's usually strong family support in arranged marriage. The two families are usually there, unlike love marriage, where your in-laws could totally hate you. And the divorce rate is lower compared to love marriage, you can do your research from the culture that practices it.
It's sweeter if both families are wealthy.

Arranged marriage if done well is usually better as parents would consider the basic things that makes relationships last. Feelings can always develop. But I will personally go for love marriage, where I come from, nobody arrange marriages anymore.

I know love marriages that hardly last a years, they both have their pros and cons. Arranged marriages between rich families usually goes better from what I have observed.
They do but not common as the so called love marriage, find out.

Love marriage of course, what if you are finally linked up with someone you don't have feelings for?
And I hope your friend isn't trying to break anyone's heart to satisfy her family. I wish her luck

I was discussing with a friend who is from a culture where arranged marriage still thrives and she told me how her parents are looking out for a suitable match for her. I was surprised because I can't just imagine myself in that situation but she seems ok with it.
Till now, it keeps surprising me, she's actually from a rich family and I wonder how that kind of family could still believe in arranged marriage till date.

Anyway, which do you prefer?
Arranged or Love marriage?
