Perhaps they noticed they're getting reduction in the search result rate and after finding out, they discovered it's because people now prefer to use apps like chatgpt and others. Hence, they have to include Ai review.

You mean Google Ai review on search engine right?
The way I see it, itt's simply for competition in the tech world. That's what happens when you should have superiority complex but you have inferiority complex instead.

I have different Ai app, if I want Ai to answer my questions, if I choose google search, that means I want real answers from individuals not Ai.
Which means at that point I don't need any Ai review.
But wwll, only google knows why they incorporate it.

To me, it's a way of stopping low at google's end, It's competing with some lesser platforms maybe🤷. Or perhaps 'google search' has forgotten its major significance.
I prefer unique answers from unique people than Ai answers anyway.

Google just want to dominate with their Ai overview, nothing more.
Funny thing is, this so called Ai search result overview will be copying from other websites' work.
Pathetic!

It only shows one thing.
Google do not have good advisers or solid business intelligence team. The way it seems stingy with its resources, it seems stingy when it comes to recruiting genuine work force as well.
It's been saving my time too since it starts displaying on my search results, so they should keep it up. Bravo👏

Quote from: Sharonlee on Nov 01, 2024, 11:39 AMIt saves me time, they should continue, I'm enjoying it. I just hope the website owners where their Ai is doing plagiarism from wouldn't wake up and sue them (google) someday.

Because they're at the race of unhealthy competition with other tech companies.

Quote from: Gomantics on Nov 01, 2024, 11:30 AMFor readers and researchers, it's a good idea that will save a lot of time.

However, for google itself, it could turn out to be a business killer. Maybe google's end time is near 'cause if I get all the info I need from the first AI content displayed to me, I won't bother visiting any site, same with millions of other people. If I have to advertise though, I would rather take my advert to other independent platforms e.g twitter or Instagram instead of google where no one sees it.
Exactly, they seem not to care about others, not knowing they're about killing their own business.

Whatever... excessive cravings for power leads to distruction.

Quote from: Permitedangel on Nov 01, 2024, 11:19 AMWho listens to the Ai though?
I fastly scroll past Ai on Quora and the likes. I don't know about others but personally I do not believe Ai generated info on general issue searches.
So, some of us do not care.
That's because you've tried the Ai generated answers on those platforms and it's not adding up.
It's gonna be a different thing on Google because there are lots of information on Google search where the Ai will cut from.

What I mean is, you are more likely going to be satisfied with Google search AI generated answers than that of any other platform.

Quote from: Biu on Nov 01, 2024, 11:09 AMLol... Google wants to be the alpha and omega all by itself.

Because it makes no sense to me, once people can get the desired info from the Ai summary, they go off the search engine.

So what happens to much ton of websites?

Well, perhaps it wants to dominate the engine search engine itself
I'm telling you, they didn't think this through at all.
Google seems to have quack business analysts in this case.

I hope their desire to dominate don't cost them a lot this time around. Let's keep watching.

Only google knows the reason, but it's selfishness if you ask me and this will finally backfire. Will the Ai be enough for the whole advert that alot of companies are paying them for?
Because no clicks on different websites makes these adverts invisible to the public, in the long run it not gonna favour google itself.

Why is Google incorporating Ai in its search engine?
Can anyone tell me what the reason could be?

Because coming up with gemini on the messaging app and all is understandable but on search engine... 🤔
