QuoteYes, he's all knowing, so it wouldn't have been a shock. One of the reasons why it's clear that he created both Good and the Satan.
For fun? - Perhaps No
For test of the believers - Maybe Yes

Testing people you claim you love with hardship, suffering and evil, that's serious. And even threatening them with hell, knowing fully well you created this devil yourself, that's more serious.

QuoteNope, he created the good and give people free will to choose what they want to do. Some people then choose evil.
Why will he give people the free will to choose what he has not created - evil?

Does that justify what I wrote up there that everything could have been for his fun. Or you mean, it came as a shock and he didn't know Satan would turn that way and start tempting people?

QuoteWell, according to Islam... God created angels, part of which was (Iblis) Satan, then again, he created human, 'Adam'. Angels were then asked to bow to Adam, all of them did except Satan. That was how it all started and we came about devil. Satan used to be an angel but now a devil because he disobeyed God's order.
That was how he fell from God's grace, his punishment is to come on the Day of Judgment, but until then he is empowered to tempt the people, which God assured he wouldn't have the power to tempt the faithfuls.

So, short answer, God created good and then, there was Iblis turned Satan (devil) who tempt people to do evil.

This is a debate that has been around for a while.

My quick answer will be to choose amongst these:

-God made both good and evil and wouldn't intentionally stop evil

-God only made the good and there's devil somewhere who equally made the evil. Hence, God is not capable to stop all the evil.

-God doesn't exist.

You guys have started again, I don't mean to attack you, but how logical is this explanation of yours?
Wouldn't it have been better if God didn't create free will? let alone allowing people to choose between good and evil.
Even though it's free willing thing, how come there's that evil to choose from? The evil just came from nowhere right?

@Op, if he creates all things then it includes evil too, perhaps he's the one who knows why, or he did just for the fun of it, so that not only the good will be happening, thus making it boring sometimes. Just maybe
BTW, I never knew I could comment here as a guest, I just tried. A good one from the forum admin👍

QuoteFor everything God has created is good
1 Timothy 4:4-5
I can only read two meanings to this.

Does that mean, there's God - the creator of all good things.
And then, there's Devil - the creator of all evil.
God - God of good
Devil - God of evil. Which typically means there are two Gods? If we go by what you are saying.

OR even bad/evil is good and it's from God.

Which of these are you talking about?

If God created all things, that means he created both good and evil things. Can it then be said that he knows of and is responsible for all the evils in the world?
Just thinking 🤔
