I believe those kind of companies are small companies or startups. The CEO of a big company can't have that time. Let's say a company with 30 branches for instance, how many recruitment processes will he be involving in?

To answer your question anyways, it's to select who they think is the perfect candidate.

Because they have plenty time. There should be hiring managers to perform this task. What they (CEOs) don't know is that it doesn't change anything at the end of the day.

I think it should be a thing of human resources or some management cadre. Why is it that some CEOs or company owners have interest in interviewing candidates?
