Quote from: Cashtree on Sep 07, 2024, 11:35 PM"Gestational limit" is the specification of the stage within pregnancy when a termination or abortion is allowed. It varies from country to country, it could be 6 weeks in one country or 12 weeks in another.
It also depends on the event connected with the pregnancy.
Good to know there are limits

Quote from: Ticam on Sep 07, 2024, 11:20 PMWe all know this, and I think the argument here is whether other countries should join in legalizing or not.
What do you mean by "Gestational limits" by the way?

Quote from: Cashtree on Sep 07, 2024, 11:18 PMThere are many countries in the world where abortion is legal. More of them only have "Gestational limits" restrictions, which varies from country to country.

Turning abortion to frequent thing is what I'm not in support of. If it should be legalized, then there should be proper record, once you have two or three, you can't have any again (I mean in a lifetime). If it's too frequent perhaps twice in a year, no health professional should attend to you.
Would it be possible to keep this kind of data? I doubt it.

QuoteWhy having unprotected sex knowing fully well you are not capable of taking care of a child?
What if they didn't know things would turn sour at the point of having the sex? And all of a sudden, life just happen.
It could also be that their preventive measures failed them. We've all heard of situations like this.
I'm not saying they shouldn't go ahead if there's genuine excuse, but legalizing it so that you start seeing all manner of people in different clinics presenting abortion like malaria is what I'm saying no to. If you can't abstain, use protection.👌

QuoteThank you, but some women claim "their body, their right", and denying them what they choose to do to their body is denying them their human right.
Denying them for explicit reasonable reasons, could truly be denying them of their rights but denying them to block moral corruption isn't.

In addition to what Urguy has written, I would say in case of rape too, I support the idea.

Because:
1. You're bringing a child without a father into the world which could later be problematic, for both the child, and the mother.

2. The story surrounding the child conception and birth would never make the mother happy.

But just legalizing abortion for the sake of it where every Tom and Dick would think it's right. NOPE

QuoteThere could be tangible reasons e.g if the mother's life is in danger or even that of the fetus, in case of anomalies which could affect its wellbeing in the future.
If reasons like these are sighted early enough during pregnancy, well I could support abortion. But having unprotected sex with the intention that whatever comes out of it would be flushed, I'm out.
Thus, for tangible reasons only, it could be put into law.

QuoteI was reading this topic and this question occured to me.

Should abortion be legalized throughout the world? Because if we look at it thoroughly, some situation could demand for it. e.g when the to be parents aren't capable of taking care of the child.
Why bring an innocent child to this world to suffer?

What's your take?
