University of Staffordshire intending to make further staff cuts

A University has said it hopes to make a further 40 redundancies, under a year subsequent to reporting intends to cut 100 jobs.

The University of Staffordshire, formerly known as Staffordshire University, said it was making the slices because of elements including increasing expenses and troubles around student enrollment.

There were no cuts to courses arranged, supervisors said.

They added that staff in danger of overt repetitiveness were inside the University's expert administrations which incorporates management, technical, and functional jobs.

"Like different institutions, University of Staffordshire is exploring the more extensive difficulties confronting the advanced education area, including an unpredictable student enlistment market and increasing expenses," a representative for the university said.

They added: "At this stage we expect a decrease in labor force of around 40 FTE out of an all out staff of 1,679 individuals."

They said the move was isolated to the university's new rebranding.

It was declared in November last year that the college would shed around 100 posts due on inflated costs and a need to match staffing numbers to subject interest.

A representative said at the time that a "turbulent student enrollment market at home and abroad," as well as rising pay rates and different expenses had prompted a need to cut down staffing.
