What does it mean to be a Judging or Perceiving type in MBTI?

I'm asking this question because someone said "he judges because he is a judging type" when referring to an ***J. Does the J really mean to judge people?

Manualor

Nope, J types are only organised and have the ability to make firm decision while P types hardly focus on planning and are more flexible.

Anyone can come up as a judger during discussion or other situation, not just the J type.

Suitdiva

The major difference is that Perceiving types go with the flow. Judging types do more planning.

I often notice the P types saying J types are judging or that they are rushing to conclusions or something related, this happens during many conversations, they even say it not knowing anything about Mbti. This isn't true, they do more judging themselves, they are only sensitive to that coming from others.

I had to start pointing out all the judging related sentences coming from a friend before he stopped calling me a judge....lol. Mind you, he doesn't even know anything about mbti.

Nemanki

Judging types are truly judgemental. I have them as friends and they are too judgemental

XNXJs and XSXJs are just determined, good at planning and often come up as being rigid, although their rigidity is usually meaningful.

While XNXPs and XSXPs are often flexible, ready to change plans and often do things at the die minutes.

I'll give an example, a P type wouldn't care to go back to an ex or to go back to a former job and the likes. A J type will hardly look back, tell you there's a reason an ex is an ex, and focus on the future.

Being judgemental is a trait any Mbti type could have irrespective of whether you are Perceiving or Judging type.

No, J in mbti isn't about judging others. Anyone who's gonna be a judger is gonna just be, we all do it sometimes
