When you feel the heat from your surrounding and sweat. Is it correct to say "I'm hot"?
I use to hear people say it's hot not I'm hot. If we can say "I'm cold" when we are cold, why can't we say "I'm hot"?

Yes, it is. I'm hot is acceptable and grammatically correct. However, some people avoid it because of the sexual symbol attached with the word "hot". So that someone else wouldn't mistake it for sexual related thing.
In case it comes as a question, as in "Are you hot"? You know some people may read other meanings to it, just as folks read meanings to "How was your night"?

They think you are asking them how they performed on bed with their significant other. People's mind can travel too far, so I guess that's why majority avoid "I'm hot" and go with "it's hot".

Who cares what anyone thinks? I use the two sentences by the way. Both I'm hot/Are you hot? and how was your night?.
Think of whatever when you obviously see that the temperature is high or when I mean no harm and ask if you had a good night rest. That's your freaking problem🤷

Native speakers use it, not just as common as it's hot.

I'm hot
I'm boiling
I'm roasting
I'm boiling hot
I'm sweltering

All are grammatically correct.
