I was discussing this with someone yesterday and we both have different views on it. How often do you flush after every pee guys? Let's hear.

Should you flush the toilet after each urination?

If you are in an environment where you manage resources which include water, then you may not flush immediately after every urine but if not, you could always flush.

It depends, but I think after every three urinations, you should flush because the mineral deposit from the wee can permanently stain your toilet seat if you keep your pee in there for long.

When you urinate in a general restroom e.g Office, restaurant, public toilet, shopping mall e.t.c. Courtesy and hygiene demands you flush immediately (before and after use is highly recommended). You just need to flush after every use so as to keep the place safe and healthy.

When you urinate in a family toilet, a restroom that belongs to two or more members of your family. At least flush with little water from the bidet or tap some water in a bowl and use it to flush manually after every use. If you are unhealthy though or your are treating infection, please flush properly after every use.

When you visit people and pee in their private toilet, flush before and after use.

When you share a restroom with others, people you do not know really well e.g a roommate or something. If you can't flush before and after every use, perhaps you should get a potty, especially if you are a lady, it's for your own good.

When you are in your own space, a personal toilet that belongs to you alone, you may not flush after every use but only when you observe the pee is changing in colour. A healthy pee of a well hydrated person should be to close to clear in colour but once it's accumulating, the colour starts changing, so at this point, you should flush.

If you are unhealthy and your pee smells or changes in colour or you have infection, you should flush immediately, same applies when using a family restroom.

Reason for not flushing always is just to manage water and also to caution how frequently your septic tank or soakaway gets filled up

Some say flushing every time spread more germs. So if not for poop, you can leave urine for some time I guess, just not too much.

This shouldn't be an excuse, we should instead cover the toilet seat before flushing and rinse off the inner part of the seat after flushing if stained with any particle. I think that's the proper thing.

As for pee, I also agree flushing may not be all the time so as to manage resources.
