Can I resign after my appointment has been terminated?

As said in the subject. Can I tender a resignation letter after being given a termination letter?

Of course you can, there's no law or rule that says otherwise. I assume you mean termination with some period notice e.g few weeks to a month. You could definitely resign before the stated date, few days after the issuance of the termination letter would speak well. No need to prolong anything, and you do not need to give any notice period in your own case, just make it immediate and leave.

Just as a job could be terminated at any time by an employer, an employee is also free to resign at any time.

The only thing is that, it could affect you in terms of getting your benefits if the company provides any at the point of termination. You may end up not getting the benefits. Aside that, it's a free world.

Yes, if it's termination with some period notice.

If it's immediate termination effective same day, then let the company have their trophy and gently walk away.
